The benefits of online learning are balanced against a few challenges. Online learners need effective search skills and the ability to assess the credibility of information, people, and organizations. Communication and collaboration are also different in a virtual classroom. This INTERMEDIATE workshop introduces online resources, technologies, and practices that will help you create your personal learning environment. The session will provide an overview of technology-based possibilities from which individual learners can choose the approaches that best meet their ongoing learning preferences and interests. While participants may bring their computing devices, many of the activities focus on assessing individual learning needs and aligning them with technology-based options.
