Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) are widely used in determining health care practice- from the point of view of the policy maker and the payer to the individual clinician/ patient dyad. APA has begun developing evidence based clinical practice guidelines and recently approved one on the topic of adult treatment of PTSD.
