This workshop continues the conversation about fundamental principles and emerging ethical issues in clinical practice. Participants are encouraged to attend the first workshop but it is not a prerequisite. This workshop reviews “thinking errors” that contribute to vulnerabilities to ethical missteps in professional practice. Review of Ethics Code Standard 9.04 serves as an exercise in careful reading and interpretation of the language of the Ethics Code. The workshop concludes with discussion of two major emerging areas of change with significant ethical implications: the ever-expanding electronic frontier and the implications for clinical psychologists of evidence-based practices and of neuroscience. Original webcast date: Oct. 20, 2017.
